The Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role within the shop, partnering with the Shop Manager to drive performance, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and support stylist and bartender development. This role is a blend of operations, team leadership, customer service, and hands-on support.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, solutions-oriented, team-driven, and passionate leadee that can maintain Drybar’s high standards of quality, culture, and guest experience.
Assist Shop Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring all shifts run smoothly
Manage and run the front desk, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out, appointment flow, and exceptional guest interactions
Drive and support membership and retail sales, coaching the team to confidently recommend products and services
Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and upholding Drybar standards
Support team development by providing in-the-moment coaching and feedback
Monitor team KPIs and help motivate staff to meet performance and sales goals
Help manage labor, supply orders, inventory, and shop cleanliness
Serve as the Manager on Duty in the Shop Manager’s absence
Partner with the Shop Manager to onboard and train new hires
Handle client escalations professionally and promptly
Foster a positive team culture aligned with Drybar’s Heart & Soul values
Minimum 1 year of prior leadership experience in a retail, salon, or service-focused environment
Experience in sales-driven environments, with the ability to lead a team in meeting membership and retail goals
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Cosmetology license preferred, but not required
Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays
