● Conduct formal and informal meetings to communicate various topics with team members on a regular and consistent basis - matching the communication needs of the audience
● Engage shop staff through incentive programs to meet shop goals and recognizes staff in a meaningful way when those goals are met
● Set and execute clear and reasonable goals with defined expectations for results and timing for individual team members as well as the collective business unit
● Provide team the guidance and direction needed to accomplish individual and collective business unit goals through coaching and corrective action discussions
● Performs all full-cycle recruitment tasks to build a team with diverse skills and attributes - staffs based on business needs and capacity
● Maintain retail and back of house inventory to ensure the smooth operation of business through the counting, organization, and ordering of all supplies
● Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shop based on Drybar standards
● Participate in daily activities necessary to ensure a smooth operation: scheduling maintenance as needed, etc.
● Monitor schedules and adjust according to business needs; approving time off requests, replacing shifts after turnover, etc
● Coordinate stylist training with Shop Wducator based on hiring/recruitment needs
● Manage Shop Educator, Stylist, and Bartender schedules and onboarding processes
● Provide support and ongoing training through role play, feedback, and coaching touch points
● Regularly assess own professional strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to grow shop performance on an individual basis and team. Works with the owner or mentor to "score" performance.
● Ability to judge the need for operational adjustments when necessary to offer the best guest
experience at all times
● Demonstrate an understanding of management role within the shop with the ability to remain calm and maintain normal operations during in the face of adversity
● Demonstrate the desire to grow as a leader through various activities, i.e. educational opportunities outside of the shop, finding stretch assignments, and partnering with the shop owner to expand responsibilities
