Job Title: Lead Bartender

Job Summary / Purpose:

 

The Lead Bartender is a pivotal role responsible for delivering exceptional client experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and contributing to the overall success of the shop. This position entails overseeing daily shop operations, leading by example, and providing guidance to the Bartender team. The Lead Bartender plays a crucial role in driving sales, enhancing client satisfaction, and upholding Drybar standards.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead client experience from check-in to check-out, ensuring adherence to Drybar standards.
  • Manage client check-ins and check-outs through Booker, while maintaining the highest ethical standards in handling payments and tips/commissions.
  • Address and resolve any Booker issues promptly, making necessary changes to client profiles.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with the Customer Service team via Skype, addressing scheduling concerns and responding to messages.
  • Manage shop flow, including assigning clients to stylists and coordinating stylist breaks, in the absence of or by request of the Shop Manager.
  • Serve complimentary beverages to guests and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the shop.
  • Restock retail displays, conduct merchandising and inventory projects as assigned.
  • Actively promote and sell products, tools, and memberships to clients.
  • Ensure punctuality for all scheduled shifts and come prepared to fulfill job duties.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive shop atmosphere and upholding Drybar's 10 Core Values.
  • Train and mentor new Bartenders, educating them on Booker, core values, and Bartender Non-Negotiables to set them up for success.
  • Attend mandatory shop meetings and actively participate in shop initiatives.
  • Undertake other duties and projects as assigned by management.

  7. Technical proficiency in operating point-of-sale systems.

  9. Motivated, enthusiastic, and dependable.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 months of tenure in a bartender role and in good standing with the Company.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, including weekends.

 

Quarterly Bonus Structure- Performance Criteria:

* all performance criteria are developed, set, changed, modified and/or discontinued at any time and at sole discretion of Company based on needs of the business. 

 

  1. Membership, Gift Card & Products Sales: exceeding sales targets, including retail product sales, memberships, gift cards, and upselling of additional services. Performance will be assessed based on sales figures and transactional data.
  2. Client Satisfaction: Based on client satisfaction scores, feedback, and retention rates. Performance will be evaluated through client surveys and customer reviews.
  3. Operational Shop Excellence: Contributions to maintaining shop cleanliness, efficient shop flow, and adherence to operational procedures.
  4. Training and Development: Successful training and development of new Bartenders. Performance will be measured by the proficiency and readiness of newly hired Bartenders in executing their responsibilities.
  5. Administrative Achievement: Contributions to administrative tasks, such as inventory management, reporting accuracy, and leadership confidentiality. Performance will be evaluated based on the completion of assigned tasks and the accuracy of reports in support of the Shop Manager.
